ANGELZOOM a.k.a Igel
DOB: 18.9.08
This is my male hedgehog, I bought him from a breeder at university (contact me for further info on the breeder as I would highly recommend her, he hedgies are very well kept and her hoglets are all very very friendly and well handled).
He is registered with the UK African Pygmy Hedgehog Registery (link can be found in my links page) by the name of Angelzoom, however this is a bit of a mouthfull, so his "pet" name is Igel.
He is a dark eyed cinnecot hedgehog that has the most amazing colour and temprement, I fell in love with him the first time I saw him! He was born on the 18th Sept 2008 and I got him in November 2008.
Before getting him I did alot of research on these fascinating pets so that when I finally got him I knew what I was letting myself into so to speak :-).
He lives in my bedroom, and my house mates can't understand how I manage to sleep through all the noise he sometimes makes, but I do quite well! He has a very cheeky character and loves to grab things in his mouth and run off with them, and not let go when I try to take them back, he then spends about half an hour self annointing with whatever he has found.
He is a well travelled hog, going back and forth to wolverhampton from london quite often, but he doesn't seem to mind too much, as long as he has warm bed to sleep in and his wheel, he is fine!
He tends to be quite lazy if I don't wake him for our "bonding" sessions each night at about 10pm, I have left him before and he hasn't surfaced until 1am, then he is still quite active at 8 in the morning when I go out, so I think - like any man - he likes his lie-ins so to speak.
Igel is sire to all my hedgies born, he has the most fantastic temprement and libido too........
